On a rainy afternoon of January 15, 2023, I dwelled in the first criminology school in the province and a truly ideal institution for future law enforcers, the Sorsogon College of Criminology, Inc. (SCCI). I shared my wisdom and guidance with the fourth-year students who are undergoing the Advanced Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) through “pep talk” which is a traditional act of upperclassmen to their underclass which a speech is disseminated to encourage them to work harder in their aspirations, to feel more confident in facing their fears, and enthusiastic to the journey toward success that they envisioned.
As I've said to the students “Always have a positive mindset for an optimistic outcome rather than a negative one, for it will never confer on you an auspicious life.” Be the one who controls your mind, not the other way around, because you have the power and wisdom to create peace and freedom in this world surrounded by barriers and obstructions in the revolving sphere that we live in.
Words of inspiration can be incredibly powerful and can uplift, motivate, and encourage us to become our best selves. It is truly a great honor and a privilege to impart and be part of their adventure as they are guided by the word of God and inspirational quotations and stories by our leaders and philosophers from the past up until the present days who consistently pass on their great ideals for the people around them and for what the world needs.
"For the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" -Edmund Burke
In a world where we are often bombarded with news of violence, hatred, and injustice, this quote serves as a call to action. It reminds us that we all have a responsibility to do our part in creating a better world and that by standing up for what is right, we can make a difference and help to overcome evil.
Leaders who inspire others tend to have better communication skills. They are able to articulate their vision clearly and inspire others to work towards it. Also, inspiring others is crucial for achieving shared goals. When leaders can inspire their team, they can align everyone towards a common goal and work towards it in a unified manner. Inspiring others is an essential aspect of effective leadership. It is the ability to motivate and encourage others to achieve their potential and to work towards common goals.
