Section 12 of paragraph "c" When possible, according to the PNPA Maroon and Gold Book's General Regulations for Cadets on Leaves, "cadets shall pay a courtesy call on the nearest PNP Unit/Office Chief upon their arrival at their destination."[1]
The Philippine National Police Academy cadets from Region 5 were stationed in their respective police stations as well as paid a courtesy call. PBGEN RUDOLPH BOTENGAN DIMAS, REGIONAL DIRECTOR of Police Regional Office (PRO) 5.
Region V Cadets of PNPA were given the guidance of PBGEN RUDOLPH BOTENGAN DIMAS during the engagement. The cadets were also encouraged to concentrate on the different activities taking place inside a police station to learn and become familiar with the various duties and responsibilities of the officers assigned to each unit.
It's important to be present and involved in the conversation, as I observed during the courtesy call. Ask questions, pay attention, and show a genuine interest in our senior officers. Take the time to express your gratitude for the opportunity to speak with them while also being polite and respectful.
A good follower is ready to listen, pick things up, and follow instructions. [2]They can work with others to achieve those goals and can support the leader's vision and objectives.
This saying emphasizes the importance of humility in leadership. A good leader is someone who is willing to listen to others and work cooperatively to achieve a common goal not merely someone who is in charge. A leader can strengthen relationships with their team and foster a more upbeat and effective work environment by appreciating the importance of followership.
Also, he emphasized to us the significance of "initiative" in the 14 Leadership Traits. Since it enables leaders to remain proactive and anticipate potential issues, initiative is essential. Also, it indicates a will to always develop and innovate as well as a willingness to take accountability for one's actions.
The initiative is closely related to several other attributes, such as courage, decisiveness, and judgment, in the context of the 14 leadership traits.[3] A leader who shows initiative is frequently able to make prompt judgments that are well-informed, based on strong judgment, and who dares to act on such decisions despite risk or uncertainty.
In conclusion, initiative is a critical leadership quality that entails acting independently and bringing about change. Successful leaders can spot opportunities, come up with original solutions to issues, and take measured risks to achieve their objectives. Initiative-showing leaders may inspire and encourage their people to reach their greatest potential by establishing a culture of innovation and creativity.
