"Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth." -Psalm 96:9

The verse from Psalm 96:9 emphasizes the importance of worshiping the Lord in the splendor of his holiness and trembling before him. As a leader, this verse can be a reminder of the importance of humility and reverence, especially when it comes to leading others.
Leadership is not just about making decisions and taking action, but it also involves recognizing the limits of one's power and acknowledging the greatness of a higher power. By acknowledging the splendor of God's holiness and our shortcomings, we can cultivate humility and a sense of awe that can guide us in our leadership journey.
Said mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jhon Funtanares wherein during his homily he emphasized that simplicity is humility and that we don’t need to project beyond who we are and what we are for “God is a loving God” who can accept all our strengths and weaknesses as a person.
As leaders, we have a responsibility to care for and support those who look to us for guidance. By embodying the qualities of a loving God - such as compassion, kindness, and forgiveness - we can create a work environment that is nurturing and supportive.
In addition to creating a positive work culture, leading with the belief in a loving God can also help us navigate difficult situations. When we encounter challenges, we can approach them with an attitude of love and seek to understand and address the needs of those involved.
“Daan sa Tamang Landas,” or DTL, set forth to bring every police officer in Sorsogon closer to holiness and faith as a drive for effective public service. It highlights the importance of values-based leadership. As a leader, it is important to have a clear set of values that guide decision-making and behavior. In this case, the values of holiness and faith are being promoted as a way to improve public service. As leaders, we need to ask ourselves what values we hold and how they impact our leadership style and the outcomes we are striving to achieve.
DTL is a desire to create a culture of care and support for police officers. By seeking to bring officers closer to holiness and faith, there is an underlying recognition that police work can be challenging and that officers may need support in their personal and spiritual lives. As leaders, it is important to recognize the emotional and psychological toll that certain professions can take and to provide the necessary resources and support to help employees thrive.
The importance of values-based leadership, creating a culture of care and support and embodying the philosophy of servant leadership. By focusing on these aspects of leadership, we can work towards creating a more just and equitable society where all individuals, including police officers, are supported and able to serve effectively.
